STAN- LITRETURE ESSAY
In the first chorus, there is connection between the words that are used such as cold, clouds and could. It also says much about weather. This also shows that he doesn´t want to get up from his bed because he thinks there is nothing worth outside. As in words Stan´s lyrics are more emotion and deeply connected to his personality. It also shows how one can lose them through anything that is triggered in their lives. He is mentally disturbed and obsessed with Eminem.
Firstly, the writer uses a lot of I in the text, there are a lot of rhyming words such as bonnie and Ronnie, èm he also uses that a lot, basically the effect that this shows is a guy who is showing his love for his idol. Shit is widely used when he is explaining himself and doesn’t want to use the actual words for them. There are like hidden words.
There is a plenty of emotion displayed in the texts, this is a love been shown to the extent of loosing oneself or ones personality. There is usage of strong language such as fuck, that kind of emotion triggers violence which you will see when Stan gets upset because his biggest fan is not returning his messages. It also represents tragedy. When someone takes something for granted, they think everything is under their feet. They come to realize later that not every day is a Sunday. Pride is also shown, Stan thinks that his idols are perfect , blissful and to proud to answer his letters, anger by using FUCKED UP. Using of drugs and cutting himself till he bleeds showing deep LOVE. This is incrudability.
The language used here is slang, it is English but shortened words, it more like spoken words displayed as they way they pronounce it. The language also shows a conversation between a Fan and his biggest idol. The fan has been influenced to the extent he wants to lose his personality and become just like Eminem. After writing day’s worth and explaining his situation of how much a fan he is, his icon doesn’t replay and that erupts a volcano of anger. The fan is treating himself in the worst ways for example when he says” so when I have a shitty day, I drift away and put em on cause I don’t really got shit else so that shit helps when am depressed, I even got a tattoo of your name across the chest, sometimes I even cut myself to see how much it bleeds” Stan and Eminem are two different characters, one wants to be the other till in the end all was in vain and died. You can describe them as incarnate. Eminem reply was startling and vile. Eminem is flabbergasted and wretched in anger. Anger resolves no issues but immense problems. Education in here is that be yourself no matter what. You don’t have to change to impress no one, because at the end of the day is worth living life with truth than lie. Stan gives a clear picture about his infancy. His infancy is conspicuous. His father used to beat up his mother and cheat on her, the same life Eminem had. As a result of this he has suffered a mental breakdown and his bosom is ruptured. Music is ungovernable. Stan sees himself in Eminem music’s.
Grudging is what is build inside him and you can´t force someone to like you. Psychotically music affects human minds; music has control on human minds.
