When​ ​buying​ ​something​ ​you​ ​often​ ​think​ ​of​ ​how​ ​it​ ​will​ ​fit​ ​your​ ​lifestyle,​ ​for​ ​instance​ ​how​ ​those clothes​ ​will​ ​look​ ​on​ ​you​ ​or​ ​how​ ​your​ ​new​ ​technological​ ​gadget​ ​will​ ​look​ ​better​ ​than​ ​the​ ​old ones.​ ​But​ ​do​ ​you​ ​ever​ ​think​ ​about​ ​the​ ​ugly​ ​truth​ ​behind​ ​all​ ​this,​ ​how​ ​it's​ ​damaging​ ​both​ ​the earth​ ​and​ ​those​ ​people​ ​who​ ​work​ ​to​ ​produce​ ​this​ ​​things​.​ ​The​ ​aim​ ​of​ ​this​ ​text​ ​is​ ​to​ ​discuss the​ ​consumerism,​ ​a​ ​global​ ​issue.
