The Kite Runner | Analysis

Bokanalys av Khaled Hosseinis "The Kite Runner" från 2003. Analysen berör förhållandet mellan Amir och Hassan och berör de viktigaste teman.

Utdrag

In the book, the narrator is Amir. Therefore every sentence is told from Amir's perspective and describes his feelings. The writer has done this to bring out one of the main themes in the book, the guilt Amir feels inside after betraying Hassan. Khaled Hosseini wants the readers to understand Amir's feelings at all times, and why he chose to act as he did. Amir makes a lot of bad choices in life, but being the narrator, he reveals his mind to the readers, and we can somewhat understand his actions. If the book was written from another persons view, the history and the message of the story would have been different. We know after reading the book that Amir is suffering from a terrible feeling of guilt.
