Summary

“The Man Who Loved Flowers” by Stephen King follows a well-dressed young man walking through the streets of New York in the spring of 1963. He passes by an old lady who thinks he looks like he is in love and calls him beautiful. He waves at her, smiling.

An old flower vendor listens to the radio next to his cart. The radio broadcast includes news about various events: a hammer murderer roaming the city, the beginning of the Vietnam War, a dead woman found in the East River, the war on drugs, and the explosion of a Russian nuclear device.
